The Discussion groups
We have are a series of discussion groups where expats and others can ask questions and exchange information. New members are welcome. There are two ways to join us. The main way is via our mailing lists. Go to Cblists and follow the instructions. If you prefer a web forum go here and click on "Register". You can either use the web forum or the mailing lists - the content is the same. We keep the groups private - they're not Googled
Why aren't the groups public?
This is to ensure
high standards of posting etiquette, to avoid
spam and irrelevant material, and keep the groups on topic
What are the groups?
The main group deals with most matters concerning life on the Costa Blanca, both serious and light hearted. Associated with
it are various other groups on specific topics: - a chat group, a group
about finance, a language group, a gardening group, a TV group, a telephones group and one or two others. All these groups are available both as a web based forum and a mailing list. All messages appear in both, so you can choose which to use (or even swap and change).
What happens after I've applied to join?
If you join a mailing list, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail and maybe have to wait approval from the list moderator, which should take less than 24 hours.
If you choose to join the web forum, you should normally receive a reply within 24 hours from the owner. You will automatically be added to the mailing list for the main group (you can stop receiving e-mails at any time, but for technical reasons you need to subscribe)and given you a link to the web forum to confirm you are genuine .
Either way, you will be sent a set of files explaining how everything works. Please keep them! The groups are moderated and strict group netiquette is enforced. A copy of the group's rules can

Which is best, the mailing list or the web forum?
That is entirely up to you. Both have the same content.
